No More Mr. Nice Guy Support Group
A growth group centered around Nice Guy Syndrome.
Are you tired of being the “nice guy” who always puts others first, yet feels unappreciated, overlooked, or stuck in the same frustrating patterns? Do you avoid conflict, struggle to set boundaries, or feel like people take advantage of your kindness? If you’ve ever thought, “I do everything for others, so why don’t I get what I want?”—you’re not alone.
The truth is, being a “nice guy” often leads to resentment, frustration, and self-doubt rather than the happiness and connection you deserve. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Our No More Mr. Nice Guy Support Group is designed for men who are ready to stop people-pleasing, build confidence, and take control of their lives. This is your chance to join a community of like-minded men who get it—and who are ready to support you as you transform into the strongest, most authentic version of yourself.
What is a No More Mr. Nice Guy Support Group?
Inspired by Dr. Robert Glover’s best-selling book No More Mr. Nice Guy, this group is a safe, supportive space for men who are tired of playing small, suppressing their emotions, and living life on everyone else’s terms. It’s built for men who recognize Nice Guy Syndrome in themselves and are ready to take action.
If you relate to any of these, this group is for you:
✔️ You struggle to say “no” and often put others’ needs ahead of your own.
✔️ You avoid confrontation, fearing that people won’t like you if you stand up for yourself.
✔️ You’ve been labeled as “too nice” in dating or relationships—and it’s left you feeling confused and rejected.
✔️ You struggle with setting healthy boundaries in friendships, work, and family life.
✔️ You feel resentment building up inside but don’t know how to express it.
✔️ You give endlessly in relationships but feel unappreciated, unseen, or even disrespected.
✔️ You secretly wish people would respect, desire, or admire you more.
This isn’t just a place to vent frustrations—it’s a structured program that helps you build the tools and confidence to stop being a pushover and start getting what you want in life.
What to Expect in Our No More Mr. Nice Guy Group
This is your time to invest in yourself. We meet online via a secure Zoom video call (so you can join from anywhere – all you need is a quiet space and an internet connection). Here’s how a typical session flows:
We start promptly at 7 PM with a quick welcome and an ice-breaker or check-in question. New members will be introduced so you immediately feel at home. Expect a friendly, relaxed atmosphere – maybe you’re coming off a stressful Monday at work, but once you’re in the group, you can breathe easy.
Each week has a focus. It could be a discussion on a theme like Setting Boundaries, Building Self-Esteem, or Honest Communication, often inspired by No More Mr. Nice Guy or other proven self-improvement resources. We’ll do interactive exercises too – for example, practicing saying “no” in real-life scenarios, or writing and sharing a “break free” action you took that week.
A big chunk of the meeting is always open for members to share what’s going on in their lives. This is where the magic happens. You can bring up a situation that’s bothering you – maybe an argument with your girlfriend you avoided, or a win like standing up to a difficult coworker – and get feedback and support. The facilitator and other members will offer perspectives or gently challenge you to see where your “Nice Guy” patterns might be sneaking in, and how to handle things differently. If you’re normally shy about speaking up, don’t worry; we encourage everyone, but you can ease in at your own pace. Even just listening to others can be incredibly eye-opening. You’ll start to pick up on patterns and solutions that apply to your life too.
Before we end at 9 PM, we do a quick recap and each man sets a small action step for the week ahead. This could be something like “I will ask for help with X instead of silently doing it all myself,” or “I will have that tough conversation I’ve been avoiding.” These action steps are your homework – and your growth accelerators. By taking one concrete step each week (and knowing the group will ask about it next Monday!), you create steady momentum in overcoming your Nice Guy habits. We close on an uplifting note, often with each person sharing one positive thing they’re taking away from the meeting. You’ll log off feeling understood, empowered, and ready to take on the week with a new mindset.
